Matthias Inniger was born in Cameroon. Coexistence of people from different religions and cultures was a reality with which he was faced since his childhood. As a pastor, officer-in-charge of the Care Team of the Canton Bern and as a chaplain of the Swiss Army in the Balkans Matthias Inniger contributed to interreligious dialogue in different projects. He compiled the dissertation A theological-ethical evaluation of the Christian-Muslim Dialogue in the Swiss Army Chaplaincy. Today he is Extraordinary Senior Lecturer at the North-West University, a research fellow at the Department of Justice, Municipalities and Churches of the Swiss Canton Bern and a responsible Regionalpfarrer of the Reformed Church Bern-Jura-Solothurn.
