The top academic performers of the Faculty of Theology and their companions were welcomed by the acting dean, Prof Francois Viljoen during the Faculty’s Annual Performance Awards event held on 22 May 2017. Certificates were awarded for the best performance (obtained cum laude) in each qualification programme.
Extraordinary awards for academic excellence were awarded to MG Inniger, a student from GST. He did his PhD in Ethics – Title of Thesis: A Theological-Ethical evaluation of the Christian-Muslim dialogue in the Swiss army chaplaincy.

Prof Gert Breed congratulated all the recipients of awards on behalf of the Faculty, Prof Rantoa Letšosa did the congratulations on behalf of the NWU and student Jaco Lemmer delivered a message on behalf of the students.
